Material handling industry economists see steel prices poised to push storage rack prices higher into the fall and winter season
Steel prices bottomed in the later part of 2010 and have continued to trend higher in the first and second quarters of 2011. Commodity prices in general have seen drastic price swings this summer. Staples likes corn, cotton, sugar, gold, silver and oil have all seen prices fluctuate wildly. As the economy bottoms and starts to recover, commodity and raw material prices quickly increase. As we head into the fall of 2011, many economists think steel prices (which have been stable) could soar from current levels as steel demand increases.

While many opinions differ on the timing and scope of how much steel and pallet rack prices will rise, the overall consensus strongly suggests the direction will be up - not down - from current levels. Teardrop rack beams are the most commonly found beam style on the market. These cross beams come in all different lengths, heights and gauges (height & gauge determine beam capacity). All beams listed below are a standard teardrop style and will work with all major brands so long as the style is the classic 'teardrop' style.
