Prest and Slide & Lock Pallet Rack Guide

Prest and Slide & Lock Pallet Rack are two distinct brands of pallet racking that share many similar features. Most prominent among their shared similarities are their uprights. The upright design of Prest and Slide & Lock is nearly identical - in fact - most people looking at them side by side wouldn't be able to tell them apart. The differences lie in the beam clip styles. While both Prest and Slide & Lock pallet rack styles have beams that attach to the rear side of the upright, Prest beams are composed of only one piece. Prest pallet rack is usually orange (beams) and light blue (uprights).

Slide & Lock beams utilize left-hand(silver) and right-hand(gold) clips as well as a kotter pin to secure the beams to the uprights. Slide & Lock pallet racking is usually orange (beams) and light blue or orange (uprights).

Most Prest and Slide & Lock can be used together interchangeably, however there are some models that will not work with others. Please contact SJF if you have any questions about Prest or Slide & Lock pallet racks.

This material is sold "As Is, Where Is". Units are overall straight and structurally sound but have not been cleaned, prepped or repainted in any way. Often this material will still have stickers or labels on it from previous use but still retains all the capacity and structural integrity of reconditioned or new pallet rack and is priced accordingly.

Reconditioned pallet rack is used rack that goes through SJF's legendary 5 step refurbishing process, the end result being rack with the look and durability of new but at a cost that is considerably less.

SJF's 5 Step Refurbishing process

• Initially, all old stickers, tags, etc. are removed from the surfaces
• Each item is thoroughly inspected for structural damage and/or missing components which are repaired or replaced as needed
• Each item is then cleaned and preped for paint using ultra high-speed cobalt brushes specifically designed to remove rust & residue without conpromising the structural integrety of the metal
• Once prepped, items are painted using a specially formulated paint which is heated and applied electrostatically utilizing a state of the art bond & paint system
• Freshly painted materials are staged for cool down and curing before being sorted, segregated, banded, packaged and palletized for shipment to our clients
