Who We Are

SJF Material Handling provides warehouse services and material handling equipment solutions for businesses across the United States. Founded in 1979, the company has remained family-owned and operated to this day.

What began as a small material handling business has grown into a trusted resource for warehouse operations nationwide. While SJF remains a small, family-owned company by design, it brings a deep level of experience and is well regarded within the material handling industry.

Today, five Sterner family members are part of the team, helping guide the company's direction and day-to-day operations.

Our work focuses on practical warehouse improvements that support safety, efficiency, and long-term use.

Warehouse Services and Project Support

SJF offers warehouse services for new facilities, expansions, and updates to existing operations, regardless of size. Our team works directly with customers to evaluate space, workflow, and equipment requirements before recommending solutions. These services are often combined as part of a larger warehouse project.

Material Handling and Warehouse Expertise

SJF Material Handling brings real-world experience in material handling and warehouse operations. Our internal sales team combines decades hands-on experience in material handling sales and warehouse design.

That experience supports every stage of a project, from evaluating space and equipment needs to planning layouts and selecting systems that fit day-to-day warehouse operations. Recommendations are based on real-world use, not standard layouts or assumptions.

New and Used Material Handling Equipment

In addition to services, SJF sells new, used, and reconditioned material handling equipment. Inventory includes pallet racking, cantilever rack systems, conveyors, safety products, case and carton flow rack, carts, dock equipment, and more.

We also buy used material handling equipment. Businesses often work with SJF when relocating, downsizing, or replacing warehouse systems. Equipment is reviewed based on condition and demand, with onsite inspections available in many cases.
