What is Ridg-U-Rak Pallet Racking?
Ridg-U-Rak pallet racking is a fairly common type of pallet racking that is still being manufactured today. Known for its distinctive clip design, Ridg-U-Rak also features a pinch-pin clip to lock beams in place. Ridg-U-Rak beam clip hooks have rounded (not square) tops and the uprights curl outward to provide additional torsional bracing. Ridg-U-Rak is most often found in orange for the beams and green for the upright columns.
Key Identification Details
Upright Frames
The vertical structure that dictates the height and depth of the pallet racking system. Two upright frames are needed for a starting bay. Once the first structure is in place, only one additional upright frame is needed to add on. Upright frames come in two post sizes depending on weight capacity needs.
Beams
The horizontal weight-bearing structure connecting upright frames to each other. Beams come in different lengths and heights depending on the size needed and the weight of stored items. They come in step or box style, which allow the use of optional supports or decking. Beams can be adjusted and reconfigured as needs change.

- Wire decking to add a mesh layer over beams so items don't fall through and to add strength
- Post protectors to protect the base of upright frames from forklifts
- Wall ties, back-to-back ties and anchors for additional stability
- Safety panels and straps to prevent stored items from falling off
- Spacers and pallet supports for added system integrity
